HAZMAT Preparedness [Free Event]

HAZMAT- nuke/chem/bio

At this action packed Survive and Thrive / Citizens for Liberty collaboration we will have a HAZMAT Operations level first responder from Montgomery County PA on hand to help us get a grip on a complex topic in an easy to understand way.

Practical preps for dealing with nuke/chem/bio incidents will include:

- a basic overview on the most likely and common scenarios that would involve sheltering in place or evacuating your home or work space

- how to select an optimal safe room in your home and work space and properly control airflow/radiation penetration

- what tools and supplies you can pick up at big box retail stores on a tight budget that can really save lives AND how to use them when you need them

- decontamination methods for people and things

- how to create a functional quarantine/sick room in a grid down or grid teetering scenario

- how to maintain hygiene and deal with feces/urine without flushing toilets

- What to pack in a bug out bag in the event of a forced evacuation

Family and friends are always welcome to sit in and listen. These meetings are often fun and thought provoking for first timers, a shared adventure that can have a lasting impact. We stand in service to you and those that you love. Bring a good heart and an open mind.
